Germplasm Bank. Medicinal and Aromatic plants. Endangered Species

The research projects developed on the preservation of endangered flora in Extremadura have allowed to include in the germplasm bank of the “La Orden-Valdesequera” Agricultural Research Institute 315 records with 110 taxa, approximately, which are catalogued as protected (HSS Plantae Proctae).

On the other hand, 174 records with 134 taxa are also kept for medicinal and aromatic plants (HSS Plantae Officinale). This collection has been increasingly growing during the last years as a result of new research projects.
