Collection of weed seeds

The collection comprises weed seeds of several weed species from various crops, both from Extremadura and other national and international areas. The seed collection has been expanded thanks to work carried out by Dr Osuna’s team, carrying out surveys financed by various projects. Several Research Centres/Universities and companies have also donated seeds to include in this collection.

Many of these seeds are taxonomically characterised by species, both morphologically and molecularly. Also, the mechanism(s) responsible for resistance (TSR and NTSR) has been characterised for those in which resistance has been confirmed.
