The Extremadura Scientific and Technological Research Center (CICYTEX) is a public law entity with patrimonial, organizational and functional autonomy from the Extremadura Regional Government, attached to the Ministry of Education, Science and Proffesional Formation. It is made up of the Institute of Agrarian Research 'La Orden-Valdesequera', the Instituto Tecnológico Agroalimentario de Extremadura (INTAEX), the Institute of Cork, Wood and Vegetal Carbon (ICMC) and recently by the Center for Ecological and Mountain Agriculture (CAEM).
